  1. Currently, my computer seems to be running fine after going through all of your steps.
  2. Attached is my ESET report. Where should I go from here? SysInspector-MATT-PC-110215-2131.zip
  3. Either way, whether I have a virus or whatnot--my computer is still running slow. Start up time on my computer usually takes a while, and I must wait until everything is completely loaded before I attempt to open any document or whatnot. Once I am on the internet, or have a document [or multiple ones] open they usually start to freeze fairly quickly and must open a task manager in order to close them.
  4. As I said earlier, when I asked for help with my malware I got no help whatsoever. Even though they "helped" me clear my viruses off my computer, once it appeared that my viruses were gone the person who helped me ended the thread. Can you re-direct me to someone who is actually going to help?
  5. All my malware related problems are still present. I have backed up all my files that I want to save on an external hard drive. I have gone through the Malware removal process on this website, but even though I followed the directions my computer still has the same problems that I started with. From what I can tell, a complete reboot of my computer and starting a new would be the best solution to get rid of my Malware problems. Please help me fix this problem. My CD's/DVD's are: [All of these came with my computer] 1. Operating System Reinstallation DVD Windows Vista Home Premium 64BIT SP1 2. Drivers and Utilities Reinstallation Webcam Manager 3. Drivers and Utilities Reinstallation Dell XPS Portable Computer Software 4. Application Reinstallation Dell Mediadirect 3.5 5. McAfee Security Center Reinstallation CD 6. Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 7. Roxio Creator DE 10.2
  6. I need to reformat my hard drive to repair my computer, but I am not sure how to go about doing this. I have stored all the files I want to save onto an external hard drive and have the Dell CD's/DVD's that came with my computer. Where should I start, and what should I do? Also, how can I ensure that my computer will be protected after doing this?
  7. Also, how would I delete some of those antivirus programs? Which ones should I delete?
  8. I updated to the newest Java and got Internet Explorer 8. Before my computer slowed down I had downloaded bittorrent software and a torrent. When I played the torrent, my computer slowed down drastically and programs became difficult to run/open. Using the internet as well as any other programs do not work well with one another and my computer slows down, usually to where I have to use a task manager to close one of them. I'm not sure what you mean by backups

  20. Strange--I wasn't sure if the computer was just rebooting, but after another 15 minutes (I had already waited 15) my computer seems to be running fine. I'll post tomorrow if I have any problems

  23. A couple of weeks ago (I'm guessing around the week of January 17th but I'm not sure) I downloaded the bittorrent application Vuze as a torrent. The files I downloaded were movies and it began to freeze and screw up the audio when playing. I then deleted all the software and it's components and ran my two anti-virus programs, AVG Internet Security and Microsoft Security Essentials. During the scans, my computer remained slow though neither of them found any problems. I then went to the system restore option and went back to the earliest setting to attempt to fix the solution, but it still persisted. Start up time for my computer was slow, and accessing the internet is difficult as it is not always reliable. Sometimes it may take a while to get to a webpage, and it may freeze as well. This also happens to other programs I may use, even if it is something simple such as iTunes or even Notepad. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
