  1. I disabled Kaspersky and rebooted and the update worked fine after that. So I have now completely uninstalled Kaspersky. Thank you very much for your help. Is Malwarebytes Premium a complete anti-virus solution? Is my PC safe running only Malwarebytes without an additional anti-virus application? If not, which anti-virus software works best with Malwarebytes?
  2. I am using Malwarebytes Premium 4.5.11. Whenever I click on "Check for updates" it errors with the message "Unable to contact update server". My internet connection is working, I can browse the internet normally in Chrome and Edge. I have tried resetting my router and changing my DNS server but the problem persists. I have attached the various logs I see requested in other help topics. Thank you for your help. mbst-grab-results.zip FRST.txt Addition.txt
  3. Yes. It has not happened in a few days but when it happens again I will post a screenshot along with the error details.
  4. I don't know. It happens so randomly I would have to remember to disable Kaspersky every time I shut down. I have already added all the malwarebytes executables to the Kaspersky trusted applications list so my quess would be that it would still happen. I also have the same problem discribed in this thread: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/193060-web-protection-keeps-turning-off-in-30/ where malwarebytes will start up and give me a warning message that real time web protection is turned off. Even if I try to turn it on it will not come on unless I reboot. I have been using malwarebytes with kaspersky for years and have never experienced problems like these. I'm beginning to think this version was not ready for release.
  5. In case it matters, the program is installed on my F: drive. Of course the log file was on my C: drive.
  6. Brief description of the issue: When I boot up my computer I get an error popup window that says mbamtray.exe application failed to load properly Any screenshot(s) of error messages or other incorrect behavior (not required; include if available). If the system crashed, please include the BSOD error message (we will reach out to you for a full memory dump). Did not crash Operating System Details (e.g. Windows 7 SP 1 x64, Windows XP SP3 x86, Windows 10 x64 Version 1607 Build 14393.351, etc.). Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Service Pack 1 Details on how you encountered the bug and any steps that can be taken to reproduce it. Occurs when I turn the computer on. Does not happen every time. Only happens ocassionally. Do you get the same result more than once if you follow the same steps? 7. Well that's the thing. Sometimes it loads fine with Kaspersky running. Sometimes it doesn't. If I reboot after getting the error it seems to load fine. Most of the time everything loads with no problem. The error is intermittent.
  8. I've successfully uninstalled 3.0.5 and installed 3.0.6. I will report back if I see the error again. I am curious though why the application didn't just update itself to 3.0.6. Alan
  9. I am running Malwarebytes Premium 3.0.5 on Windows 7 Ultimate. I have received an error popup a couple of times on startup that says mbamtray.exe application failed to load properly. I am also running Kaspersky Internet Security 17.0.0.611(c). I have added all the malwarebytes executables to the Kaspersky trusted applications list. What do I need to do to get the tray application to load every time without problems? Alan
  10. Hi Adam, I have no outstanding issues and I am very happy to have my computer back healthy and running again. Thank you very much for all your help! You are a lifesaver. I can't thank you enough for all your time and effort. Thank you very very much. Best regards, Alan
  11. I was able to find the Java control panel and disable Java in my browsers.
  12. I searched my entire computer and I found java.exe in: C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java bin(C:\Program Files(x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_25) SysWOW64(C:\Windows)
