Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Maybe they want to make a note of it. Otherwise the program runs and scans normally and catches signatures only the newer version would catch. Mike

Hello! I have been having an odd issue while updating malwarebytes off line. I have been following the procedure as listed here (item #4) http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=10138 but when I open mbam on the targeted machine after copying the ref file to the proper location the database will be an older version (what ever it was the last time it was updated on the machine itself). Has anyone else been running into this? It happens on Windows XP, Vista and 7 for me and I know for sure the ref is updated because when I check the copied file it is the latest one. It seems like mbam just isn't recognizing it as a new file. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

You need to copy the ref file to the same location on the infected computer. Mike
