  1. Like many others I was having huge issues with epoclick redirects on three different computers, wireless and wired, mac and pc all on the same network. Multiple scans by 8 different Malware, anti-virus, registry cleaner packages found things, deleted some, combofix even found infection in a masterboot file, but everything I did failed to stop these pesky popups and redirects which caused major slowdowns in web browsing. eventually, thanks to other posts on this forum, I ended up looking at my router DNS settings, which had been locked in, not by me, but by something malicious, to specific addresses. I did a factory reset of the router, then reconfigured it to work with comcast again, and now all seems solved. Best I can tell is an expired credit card delayed a McAfee update, leaving me vulnerable to attack, which happened, and reached through the computer into the router to lock in these malware DNS settings. I'm not a coder or software geek, but have taught myself what you need to know to be functional in computers. I have never before encountered malware that reached outside the computer to f*ck with other hardware/software. that's scary. perhaps I have just been lucky until now. Thanks to all of you for your posts and communication that make it possible for regular people to solve their own problems. cheers, nickmix
