  1. Hi Elise, So I unplugged the SATA cable from the Blu Ray drive (i left the power in) and started my computer. About an hour later it froze. So I guess it's probably not a Blu Ray problem? Thanks!
  2. Hi Elise, I'm really sorry for the MIA. I have been pretty busy lately as I have been on call at the hospital. Will try to run it without blu ray and let you know. Many thanks.
  3. I only recently installed MS Essentials as I read somewhere that it could help in the removal of malware - which i thought was the original problem. Should I delete it? I will try unplugging the blu ray and let you know how it runs. Thanks
  4. Oops... forgot to add the Extras.txt file. Thanks I Extras.Txt
  5. Here is the OTL logs. Thanks Ian OTL.Txt
  6. Hi Elise, I have done all of the above. Upgraded to SP3 on XP, ran the disk check and uninstalled Daemon Tools. My computer still froze What do you suggest I do? Many thanks for your help, Ian
  7. Hi Elise, I have scanned with MalwareBytes and here are the logs. They are in two separate files because I did two drives first and then did the last one. The scan says that there isn't anything found. Weird thing is it doesn't seem like it has gotten better. My computer still freezes after about 20-30 mins when you don't move it (such as when you watch a movie), and i've been getting the BSOD. I've recently installed a Blu-Ray drive and I think I installed it correctly and all the drivers should be updated... Thanks Ian mbam_log_2010_09_11__23_27_45_.txt mbam_log_2010_09_11__23_30_06_.txt

  10. Hi, I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to fix a scvhost.exe problem that seems very similar to the one from Alfred in this thread (http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=61035&pid=305653&mode=threaded&start=) Present Symptoms: 1) Ad-Aware blocks SVCHost from contacting a malicious website. 2) sometimes directs me to another site when I try to open up a new tab 3) computer freezes when left to idle If you can help me, that would be much appreciated! Thanks Ian

Hi Elise, I was wondering if you would be kind enough to fix a scvhost.exe problem that seems very similar to the one you helped Alfred with in this thread (http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=61035&pid=305653&mode=threaded&start=) I have all the present symptoms as Alfred did initially, along with my computer freezing when left to idle. If you can help me, that would be much appreciated! Thanks Ian
