  2. hi I am here to try to get help on removing malware from my uncles computer. Back in june I removed a redirecting virus that leads me to another page wenl I click on a search result with combofix. This month my uncles gotten the redirecting virus again and also another malware that I think came from antivirus GT it blocks sites and is undetected by the programs I have used. I have an attachment of this fake message. I tihnk I have a virus thats infected the MBR, been told something like that in the majorgeeks forum. But I want a fix that does not require a back up. I have used the MBRCheck, TDSSKiller and rootrepeal. I try combofix and it says it detects a rootkit but the redirect still happens after I used combofix. I also have an anti virus that detects something in the system volume folder whenever I scan. I still have the qurantine folder from combofix from last time. There are three problems - redirecting virus - my internet explorer favorites can not be used since I used combofix last time, I click on my favorites and nothing happens - computer blocks sites especially the malwarebytes site isn't there a way to fix the redirecting virus with a scan, alot of people are having this problem snapshot_at_fake_error.rtf
