Thanks bro, went to check out the symantec and realized that i dont have order number, i only have customer ID. Because mine NIS came installed with my lap top, and each time i reformat my lap top, the NIS will be available again for 60 days.

I have to disable the norton internet security if i want to update, i didnt set anything nor do i switch on the parental controls. checked the web filtering components none. before i upgrade to this newest version, i didnt had this problem in updating. despite i reformated my lappy, it still show the same problem. sigh. Norton Internet Security 2006 really giving me hard time now.

i checked through my firewall, i had added all the files which the common issue page stated, and set everything to permit all. it still fail me in updating it. sigh, this norton internet security is getting on my nerve already.

Hi bro, thanks for the reply, however when i tried to add the mbamupdates.com, it simply prompt me that its not dns and ask me to add it anyway. clicked ok, tried updating and it still fail. any more method. thanks

Hi guys, firstly sorry to hijack TS's thread, I encountered the same issue and thanks to kind soul here i managed to get my malwarebytes to update again, but i got this question, i can only update if i temporary disable Norton internet security. ok i read through the common issue page, i went around the exculsion thing, but i still ended up receiving the same error updating popup. Im using Norton Internet Security 2006, this came default with my lappy when i first got it years back. can expert please help me on this issue? under this 'intrusion Prevention' i found this 'exclusions' and i added data-cdn.mbamupdates.com am i correct? because i done that and clicked ok, i still cant update. million thanks in advance
