It`s a 3.5 floppy.I solved the problem by clean uninstalling version 2.0 and installing version 1.75. Version 1.75 loads normally without causing the weird noises from my floppy drive. Sorry i could`nt find this thread i posted yesterday,so i commented on another where some were`nt happy with version 2.0. Thanks for your offered assistance anyway!

I truly appreciate your offered assistance! But i really don`t like complications,i like things simple and easy.I`m happy now with version 1.75 since it`s simple and easy and does "not" cause my floppy to make weird noises.Version 1.75 just loads as normal and does it`s job great! I`ll continue with version 1.75 until it`s no longer supported. Thanks anyway--I`m satisfied with MB now again!

I agree with you.It`s the 2.0 software for sure. When i was using 2.0,everytime i clicked on the MB icon to run it my floppy disc drive made a weird noise for a few seconds.This "only" happened on version 2.0. After i clean uninstalled 2.0 and installed version 1.75 eveything is ok again and back to normal.No more weird noises from my floppy drive at all. As you said,it`s the software,not my machine...guaranteed.

Hi, Everytime i open MB free my floppy disc drive makes a noise--why is that? The floppy disc drive noise "only" happens when i open MB free. Thanks for any help.

Hi, I got MWB free trial---after it expired i paid for pro version,entered the proper id & key,got the thank you for registering message and it was good for a day and then a pop up states my trial period is over and the mwb tray icon went black.I re-registered the id & key again,got the thank you,and tray icon went back to red---for another day and the same thing happened again---black tray icon again today. What`s going on here?

I keep getting many annoying MWB pop ups stating it blocked IP 221.192.199.46 incoming.I`m glad MWB is doing it`s job but how do i stop the pop up from that IP? I`ve googled this IP and it`s really a problem for countless people.It originates from beijing,china. IF i put it on the "ignore list",does that mean MWB ignores that IP and lets it in to my pc? Or does MWB still block it but just stops the pop up.

After installing the newest version today,i ran a scan and after scanning just 1-1/2 minutes my pc was completely froze--no mouse no keyboard nothing.I had to physically unplug pc and reboot with pc main power switch.That sucked bigtime since i never had that happen with previous versions. I don`t dare run this program again since there is obviously bugs that need to worked out yet. I`m running Windows XP PRO.

It seems the TFC removal of temp files worked! Ran a scan-----found no malware,did NOT reboot and all is cool! Thanks for all the help!

Thanks for the info.I don`t know if it finds infections b4 it reboots since i`m away from the pc when it`s scanning.I always cleared temp files b4 scanning using CCLEANER.I used TFC,as you said,and it found 31 mb of temp files that CCLEANER did not. I`ll run another scan soon and let you all know how it goes.

Hi, For some unknown reason my windows xp reboots during the malwarebytes scan-----anyone know why? Thanks for any help.
