  4. Hi Xixo, I was unable to remove the MyWay assistant. I get a message: c:\PROGR~1\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\descras.dll Specified module could not be found. The AV-CLS folder was created with a DOS-based file that came recommended for specifically removing the Win32.Banker.FS trojan that I believe I have. Found the program here: http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-3685083.php Followed all steps you outlined, and still cannot boot normally. 9. Hello, Computer was recently infected with (what I believe) is Win32.Banker.FS - at least that's what the bogus security message screens indicate. I ran a quick scan using Malwarebyte - it identified some issues that I quarantined (log below). Upon restart, the BSOD gives the following STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x80637421, 0xAC329988, 0x00000000). Have subsequently rerun Malware (after updating), which continues to find problems, even after quarantining, although the 0xAC329988 is replaced by 0xA2EBE988 (or 0xB6E8D988) in the BSOD error. Attempts to install other programs (avira), as directed, have failed. I either receive a message that the administrator does not allow installation (understandable in safe mode), OR in the case of avira, windows update is running parallel and interfering with the installation. Any help/suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Patrick 2 logs: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.44 Database version: 3908 Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702 3/24/2010 8:03:14 AM mbam-log-2010-03-24 (08-03-14).txt Scan type: Quick Scan Objects scanned: 137538 Time elapsed: 11 minute(s), 52 second(s) Memory Processes Infected: 0 Memory Modules Infected: 0 Registry Keys Infected: 3 Registry Values Infected: 2 Registry Data Items Infected: 3 Folders Infected: 0 Files Infected: 2 Memory Processes Infected: (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Infected: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{4d25f926-b9fe-4682-bf72-8ab8210d6d75} (Adware.MyWebSearch) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.
