There is a voice chat community application called Paltalk that I've used quite a bit over the last 10 years with zero problems. There are free accounts (black names), with banners ads in the application windows, and paid accounts (green names) with no ads. I use a free account. Recently, and several times after being logged on for 20-30 minutes, an application starts up called antispyware xp. The Microsoft virus suite appears to stop it on the first attack but then fails on a second or third attack. I respond by going to a restore point, reboot to safe mode and run malwarebytes. So far so good but I'm not going back until I've got something better. Many other people using the Paltalk with a free name are having the same problem and the company will only say security is the sole responsibility of the participant. They offer no advice. I believe the company is allowing a security hole to be exploited to pressure free users to buy a $50 per year account. It's a game for me now. Any ideas about how to run the Paltalk application and plug the security hole in the banner ad system? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
