I have been trying to fix a machine that was working well and then after going through bios, it dialogs 'can't read hard drive, run Ctrl-Alt-Del'. I thought initially it was a bad hard drive so it was replaced and all was well. About a week later, the same problem occurred. I have been thinking that I will flash the latest BIOS and look closely at the bios hdd callout. The user has a flash drive that he uses every once in awhile so maybe it has a virus on it? Are there any viruses that would cause this type of problem? I don't know exactly what the dialog states since I was told over the telephone. I will physically check it out tomorrow.
