  2. Hello miekiemoes, I am in the same position as hcethatsme. As you quoted, When Malwarebytes opens, click the "Update" tab FIRST and select to check for updates in order to get the latest updates. In case Malwarebytes doesn't open, search for the folder mbam-installer on your desktop, open it and doubleclick the file winlogon.exe which will be present in there. This should launch Malwarebytes. First, I was able to install Malwarebytes. I did try to click on both "mbam" or "winlogon",but both lunch "Antivirus Vista 2010" instead of Malwarebytes. The "av.exe" appears on Windows Task Manager.
