  1. Ah, yes, I did a few more scans and noticed that it didn't detect any more, even after doing a full scan of the C-drive; if it was a false positive I feel a bit more at ease. Thankfully I was waiting for my local store to open, as I did not have a USB stick with 8+ GB available, as the earlier linked instructions indicated I needed. Thank you for the help, though, and the quick responses! Glad to know that it was a false positive.
  2. Hi! It seems my system has been infected with the Neshta virus, and upon looking up what this is, it seems I am in over my head in trying to deal with this. 2 days I ran a scan, which found nothing. Today, as I closed a multiplayer game and opened my browser, I noticed the browser wasn't opening and that the game hadn't properly closed, so I force-closed Steam and ran a detection and had 4 positives of "Nestha.Virus.FileInfector.DDS" in C:\PROGRAMDATA\PACKAGE CACHE\ - after quarantining, I decided to rerun the scanner for good measure, and found yet another 4 results (also quarantined). I've attached the files necessary as outlined in the pinned message here. Thank you for the help in advance.
