  1. Yeah, Daledoc, I didnt mean to quote, but I had never quoted before on a forum 'cause I never knew how. I was proud of myself for a few moments. Thanks for the help.
  2. Thank you for your quick reply, Daledoc. I have 3 machines, now. I will take advantage of the discount. Thanks, again.
  3. Hi. I hope I'm in the right forum for this: I have a new laptop and would like to protect it with MB. Can I transfer protection from my old laptop, to my new? I am a paying member. Coverage may be lapsed. I dont know. But if so, can I cover all my machines with one purchase? If this is not permitted, or possible, I would understand. Thanks, David
  4. AdvancedSetup- I think I'm all clear now. I was searching for an answer, and came across this: http://www.troublefixers.com/remove-virus-...ol-for-windows/. The site tries to endorse some program called "Pareto", which was worthless and tried to shake me down for money. BUT; at the very bottom of the very long comments line, someone mentioned this: http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro Which seens to have worked. I dont know if it's ok for me to mention it on your forum or not. If not, I apologize. After running it I was able to register Malwarebytes, and am no longer being redirected. Thanks to Tom Mercado and all for your help.
  5. Hi, everyone. Thank you for your support when I was going through the dark night of my soul with that google redirecting virus. It not only redirected me, it shut down my emails as I was writing them, changed my desktop, threw popups in my face and ran a prompt sound continuously. The infection was in "atapi.sys". I'm sorry, I dont know what that line means, but I know all you do. Thanks, again.
  6. I just want to report: Last night emailed support at Malwarebytes. I received an answer from Tom there, followed his instructions and ran a re-named mbam. I ran a quick scan and uncovered 16 infected items, banished them to h3LL, then restarted. Well, it worked. Even the re-directing problem seems to be gone. I had it bad, too. It was shutting down my emails before I could finish them, and throwing un-closable popups in my face. I have yet to follow all the steps I was given, but I just wanted to thank Mountaintree, Tom Mercado and noknojon for putting up with me. I'm back, baby!
  7. Thank you, Mountaintree. Most grateful......
  8. "Unable to execute file .......................mbam.exe creat process failed; code2"
  9. Yes, from Google. Plus, I'm having new windows popping up that dont want to go away. I just re-downloaded Malwarebytes, but it's saying it cant .exe. Maddening.
  10. Thank you for responding, but my Malware has dissappeared, the icon changed and I'm deluged. I restore pointed to 11/25/09 to get back on, but dont know what to do. I keep getting redirected. Will try to download again. Any help would be great. Thanks.
  11. Hi. I just, for the first time in my life, purchased a 'full version' of something. Malwarebytes, that is. I have been at war with malware that has slipped past my SpySweeper and McAffee lines of defence, and I finally ponied up. I just wanted to introduce myself and apologize in advance for my stupid questions I will be asking as time goes by. Here's a couple: There's a tab on the module offering 'protection'. Did I already receive this when I bought the 'full version'? Also, am I now covered for viruses, or malware only? Thanks.
