I had installed Malwarebytes on a drive my system had labeled as F. I bought a new SSD and cloned the drive, but windows labeled the new drive D. I didn't think much of it, and I haven't had any issues that I've noticed until today. I realized Malwarebytes wasn't running, so I tried to run it, and it wouldn't open (I don't remember the error message it gave me). I uninstalled it, and tried to reinstall, but the installer wouldn't allow me to change the path from F. I looked into this and found out that this is expected behavior when the program is already installed. I checked add/remove programs, and there it was. I got a dialog box that said:
F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
The system cannot find the drive specified.
So I located every file across both drive called mbam and deleted all of them. Now it's still showing up as being installed, and I get a new error message:
F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbuns.exe
The system cannot find the drive specified.
I've located and deleted all of those files as well.
I tried using the windows install and uninstall troubleshooter, I managed to find the product code (I think) and still that didn't work.
All the files I've deleted are still sitting in the recycle bin, in case I do need to restore them in order to get this working.
Any and all help would be appreciated.
