  1. Also, the moment I completed that task, Malwarebytes picked up 4 attempts to take over lmhosts
  2. Attached. Appreciate the time on this Maurice!☺️ Fixlog.txt
  3. mbst-grab-results.zip Attached. Also - it keeps uninstalling Malwarebytes. Something is targeting it.
  4. ...and it keeps cleaning my PC every time it starts. Any recommendations? FRST.txt Addition.txt
  5. Hey Kevin - unfortunately it doesn't. I've decided to wipe the install instead and start anew. Appreciate the help though.
  6. Attached the file. Reinstalled Firefox as per instructions. STILL not launching. If I rename it - opens just fine. I'm pretty close to just formatting C drive and doing a reinstall of WIn10 from scratch. I have the same issue with Chrome. msert.log
  7. Here are the logs. MalwareBytes found nothing btw so no log file. Thanks for your help here @kevinf80 Addition.txt FRST.txt AdwCleaner[C00].txt AdwCleaner[S00].txt
  8. Basically, I'm looking for a way to detect the virus using MWB.
  9. An update (finally got around to checking again). Did that - when I try to select the "Allow a previously detected exploit" - nothing appears in the list to allow through. So weird.
  10. I'll also point out, Edge ALWAYS works just fine. It's annoying.
  11. Hey guys, I've got MWB on three machines at home, and I'm having a doozie of an issue on my son's PC that I suspect it's a malware/virus but MalwareBytes isn't finding/picking up. OS: Win10 20H2 (fully updated/patched) Video: Radeon 5600XT Mobo: Gigabyte B450 Aurous Elite Ram: 32Gb SSD CPU: Ryzen 7 2700+ Latest version of MalwareBytes Pro 4 months ago, his Chrome wouldn't launch. I did everything to fix it - dozens of Google Chrome recommendations, Windows OS repairs, etc...Chrome always wouldn't launch from the start. So he installed Firefox and started using that. And today, Firefox stopped working. Kaput. Dead. Won't even launch when you click on the icon, just like Chrome. So I'm suspecting a bogus malware/virus he's picked up (he's a teenager). But it's strange that it's not getting flagged. Any suggestions? I'm an IT professional. Throw everything technical at me. This one is stumping me ...next up...reinstall WIn10. :(
  12. BTW - this does not fix the issue as Word/Excel/Powerpoint - none of them appear in the list. So, anyone have suggestions on how to fix this issue?
  13. Does anyone know why does MalwareBytes treats anything opened from Microsoft Teams or Office Online (via Edge browser) that redirects to open any Microsoft product file, treats it as an payload exploit? Shouldn't it be one of those apps that are auto-exceptioned? Speaking of - Is there some kind of exception I can allow so that MB stops treating everything I open from Microsoft online as an exploit? I already added the Office directory - and my only recourse is to disable MalByt, open the file, re-enable MalByt. I've attached the exploit record. Weird right? word.txt
  14. Something is impacting my Malwarebytes install. First, I'm getting event log errors.
