That method wont work also, the version 4.0.49 is slow, dont let you run some apps, cant be uninistall, why they release a bug version??. It happend to me on Windows 10 Home
If you do all of that you will find the malwarebytes service stop running that good (y) , and the tray icon is gone, but you still got in on your add/remove program i try ccleaner, IObit Uninstaller, Revo Uninstaller without luck, and you can double click and get the never ending window of unistalling malwarebytes that live forever, i going to try now Absolute Uninstaller hopefully that would fix it
