I refreshed Firefox the last time I was here. Between then and now I haven't had any problems, I'll try to keep an eye on my browsing history. Sorry for leaving you in the dark and thank you for your help.

Hi David, Thank you for your information. Just so I understand correctly. Are you saying you don't think that there is any virus on my computer? I'll try to take notice of my browsing habits. Also, just now I when I came out from taking a shower, my Firefox browser was opened to a big red page saying "Mozilla Firefox Critical Error!". Should I be adding this to the link you provided?

Well , I'm back again. This time I have yet another virus. This time when I was browsing Wikia/Fandom. I suddenly had a web page popup claiming that my system files are damaged and have been deleted. This was accompanied by a loud ominous sounding beep. When looking in my browser history, the redirect page is listed as Win Erx03, which after a quick google search is some sort of new malware or something. Between my visits to this forum, I see the same thing happening again and again. Where I seem to remove the malware plaguing my computer, a few weeks pass with no problems, but then I get another redirect after a while. Each time I've gotten a redirect it was a separate virus, but knowing my luck with computers and seemingly usually the case, my gut tells me these popup/redirects might be all connected to a deep rooted problem that will be a nightmare to remove. Or could the problem stem from issues with Wikia/fandom sites? Though not in every instance, a lot of the time when I get these issues, I'm usually on Wikia or regular Wiki sites like ssbwiki.com. 5-7-19.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt

Hi all, Recently I posted a topic about me getting issues with a Windows Defender security popup malware. I was assisted in removing the virus by resetting Firefox. That seemed to do the trick. There was an extended period of time where I had no issues. However, recently when I was browsing ssbwiki.com, I got a redirect to another seemingly Malware site. It said something like "Norton Security Urgent Message" or something like that. It had a window front and center saying along the lines of "Your computer may have a virus". I don't have Norton Anti Virus. I don't know why I didn't get any issues until now. Could I have been reinfected? Or did the malware from before just act passively between now and the past week and decided to act up again? Here's a link to my previous topic if needed:

Hi Ron, I have reset Firefox and so far I don't recall seeing any notable issues. I'll update this thread if the issue still persists. Although part of me doubts that this issue was solved so easily. Thank you for your help.

Hi guys, A couple months ago I reported having issues with firefox redirecting to malware websites. I was able to remove the issue, however recently when I was browsing ign.com I got a notification in the corner of my screen saying "viruses detected!" and it had the Google chrome logo on it. I clicked on it and I was redirected to the webpage described in this article: https://www.pcrisk.com/removal-guides/12537-windows-defender-security-center-pop-up-scam Since this has happened, Malwarebytes has been blocking "Malvertising" sites with the domain "7rjln8orgh.com" and the IP Address 198.134.112.244. I've tried running a system scan. However upon finishing the scan claims that programs I've had for a long time are Malware. I don't know what I should do.

A bit of an update. I haven't had the opportunity to extensively visit the sites that I believe gave me redirects. However when I have visited them, I haven't had any redirects so far. One thing I should mention is I don't get redirects on sites like Youtube, at least not to my memory. Despite this, my gut tells me I couldn't have gotten rid of this issue so easily. I don't want to burden and pester the mods with constantly asking to have them re open this thread. If the redirects show up again, would it be okay if I made a new topic? Or should I update this thread again? Anyways, thank you for your help Kevin. I really appreciate you taking the time for me.

I just followed the steps you provided me Kevin, thanks again for your help. I've always used Firefox by default so I can't confirm if I have the same redirect issues with other browsers. I will update this thread again if I still have issues.

Thank you for the reopen. Anyways, turns out I still have a problem. I was browsing gamefaqs and I was redirected to a popup called "nextyourcontent.com". I also got another redirect while I was browsing a Wikia/Fandom site to some sort of "Mircosoft had detected a virus" sort of webpage, I don't remember exactly.

I actually have been using Amazon for a while. I believe I made a purchase around the beginning of this month. This issue I believe started up around mid December. I just refreshed Firefox and I'm going to see if any issues still persist. I will update this thread if I still have trouble. I appreciate your help. Thank you.

I should also mention that these websites were blocked while I was using the trial version of Malwarebytes. My trial expired a little while ago so I this is probably the latest from when I had my trial active. Website Blocked.txt

Thank you for your help. If it adds any more helpful info regarding my problem. I just check the report history from MalwareBytes and found the instances of when adware attempted to redirect my browser. Hello everyone, Recently when I'm browsing websites like Wikia wikis or sites like IGN, I once every while get redirected to a malware site. One example is the "Critical Alert from Mircosoft" page and another was "nepotixem" or something like that... I can't remember the name of it. Basically, every time I get redirected it is usually a different form of adware. Funny thing is, on sites like Youtube, I don't get redirected, at least not to my memory. I've tried using the free trial of Malware Bytes to remove the issues. It claims to have removed the viruses, however I still get redirected once every while, so clearly it hasn't been removed. I've also used CCleaner and that hasn't done the trick either. Whenever I run the scanners again, they claim they don't detect anything. I have no idea what I should do...
