I had bought a lifetime license from Amazon in 2015. This was sold by Amazon directly.
Recently I was going to upgrade most of the computer I was using the license, so I unregistered the computer from within MB, however I did not run MBAM.
When I finished reactivating Windows again, I ended up with
I already contacted support asking to be able to reactivate my license, and provided the invoice Amazon gave me. However, I was told this license is "invalid" because it was not bought directly from Malwarebytes, and given a "free year" of Premium as a compensation, which I only noticed it was a year after being activated, in no way being told before that I was not going to be issued a Lifetime key.
So I ask this: Is Malwarebytes' policy to kill as many Lifetime licenses as possible to force people to subscribe? Why is Amazon treated as a non-authorized seller and their keys disabled?
And before someone suggests it: No, the key and ID I have do not show up on search engines.
