  1. Yes, I know this issue has been addressed. Previous posts procedures are not working. As you can see, I think I tried them all but I still have the problem. It started with flipping Google Chrome searches to Bing. It stopped doing that at the moment. Now it pops up ads telling me that sites are malicious and to call a number for help. Obviously fake. What I've spent hours doing these things in various combinations: 1. Ran MalwareBytes - Newest version - (Didn't find a problem). 2. Ran Zemana - Newest version - (Also did not find a problem). 3. Ran AdwCleaner - Newest version - (after each change below) It always finds, deletes and restarts, but malware always reappears when I start Chrome. It does not actually delete the real problem. 4. Have deleted suspect software 5. Have deleted Bing from list (original problem but didn't help) 6. Have deleted unwanted scheduled tasks 7. Checked browse shortcut 8. Renamed my users/appdata/Local/Google/Chrome default file 9. Reset Chrome 10. Turned off Sync Yet, when I start Chrome, a window pops up saying, "Secure Search Extenstion added." It gives the option to Remove/Enable, but that is non-functional of course. It always installs. I have AVG. I am careful about what I download, so this has been frustrating. None of these things work. Any and all help appreciated.
