I should also say that Norton Power Eraser has been identifying a registry item called "Hide Icons" as "bad" for some time, on 2 of my 3 Windows 10 computers. I allow it to fix it, but it comes back again after Norton says it has been fixed. I am now trying to run Windows Defender to see if it catches anything.
I assumed the "hide Icons" registry key came from a program called "Fences" that I am running, which allows you to hide all your desktop icons, but maybe that is not correct? I posted this, but I couldn't get a response about this on the "Fences" forum.
Any assistance here would be appreciated.
