Hi I have followed the F8 instructions above, then downloaded a fresh mbam from link, updated it and tried to run scan. The scan still halts after about 4 seconds. I also think part of your post is missing?

Hi, my Vista laptop has aquired the Poprock trojan. Internet Explorer and Firefox fail to run. Am using Chrome to post. When I select scan Mbam starts to scan, then immediately disappears. any help appreciated. Thanks Colin
