Aura, Thank you for responding. My XP Svc Pck 2 works just fine. As you know it's been many years since Windows arbitrarily stopped supporting the XP system; yet many people still use it without any problems. As a matter of fact I am glad they stopped the nuisance of constant and unnecessary updates that caused more problems than they solved. I will not jeopardize my XP by installing a proven unnecessary Svc Pck 3. That's even if I have to drop Malwarebytes altogether. I don't see why you are forcing us to install an obsolete Svc Pck 3 in order to upgrade to Malwarebytes 3.

Is there a way to install Malwarebytes 3 on to an XP Service Pack 2 system without having to upgrade to Service Pack 3?
