I cannot download Security Check even when I over-ride smartscreen. I get a Desktop Adobe folder, right click does not give a run option. A left click and Adobe states unrecognized file type or incomplete download.

All done (Browser Guard installed and enabled)and malwarebytes scan run which showed nothing. No sign of Security Task Manager now.

I have also found that the following two entries are still there even though I had done an uninstall. SecurityTaskManager_Setup.exe in both - C:\Users\mike\Downloads\ C:\Users\mike\Desktop\My progs\

SPY PROTECTOE.EXE-DDF727CF.pf C;\Windows\Prefetch\ Is still there but others have gone. As a side issue, I have for several years used 123 movies without an issue. However, fairly recently, I found the site had changed ownership. When I last went to the site a huge amount of rubbish came up. Clearly, some were malicious, others were re-directs to porn sites. I have not visited the site again. But I see 123 movies and other sites are in the results from the scan we ran.

I have saved the Fixlist.txt as instructed. However, there is no FRST64.exe in downloads. I only have the 14.08.2021 on my desktop previously downloaded. I have run that but when I click Fix, it states - there is no file to fix (or something similar). Fixlist.txt

Java uninstalled. AdwCleaner run. I have the clean log but cannot find how to attache without doing copy and paste. Disk Drill is a data recovery program, I had a corrupted USB storage device and used to recover most of what I lost.

I ran rkill and it found nothing. Perhaps I am confusing myself? I had Security Task Manager installed but when I read of Spyprotector, I uninstalled Security Task Manager without problem. But then I find Spyprotector is still on my computer, so I'm not sure if it is just left over from Security Task Manager or whether it is in fact an infection.

The support tool seems to have stuck at RUN FRST, I have run out of time just now so will try again tomorrow. Thank you.

I have found my laptop is infected with SpyProtector which is causing several issues. Malwarebytes does not detect its presence, I thought it should have? I also cannot find how to remove SpyProtector.

I have a good VPN, Cyberghost, I have tried to allow it following Cyberghost's instructions but it doesn't work.
