  1. OK, I think I found the culprit service. Use msconfig, go to services tab, and make sure "LiveUpdate" from IObit is unchecked. End of problem.
  2. Done as instructed, items removed and do not show up on rescan. Unfortunately, I do not know if they will reappear if I do a regular boot with services and startup items enabled. Suggestions?
  3. I don't really understand your question...this is the log file after doing what you suggested, merely documenting that files are still there. What good is it to take action with same result over and over? I will do the clean boot and get back to you
  4. Changed to manual (screenshot attached). Ran Malwarebytes and quarantined (delete on reboot.txt), rebooted, ran Malwarebytes again and they are back (still there.txt) delete on reboot.txt
  5. and does not touch directories in question, and copies to a network store in one direction only (to the backup)
  6. I don't see how, it has nothing to do with Iobit
  7. Legitimate program http://www.secondcopy.com/ using it for years to back up data
  8. This was a scan after restarting...log file from after these have been quarantined in past. For example, log file from 412 PM today (about 90 minutes ago) documenting that quarantine was done. That is precisely the problem, as stated in my very first post: Malwarebytes keeps finding the following files even though I quarantine and delete them everyday. C:\PROGRAMDATA\IObit\ASCDownloader C:\ProgramData\IObit\ASCD 412 PM.txt
  9. Restarted PC and rescanned. Log attached (these files have been quarantined repeatedly but keep coming up in scan) rescan.txt
  10. Hi Logs attached. Restarted, rescanned, and the two files are detected again. So, did not work export summary.txt Fixlog.txt
  11. Hi Thx for your help Here are the logs FRST.txt Addition.txt
  12. Malwarebytes keeps finding the following files even though I quarantine and delete them everyday. C:\PROGRAMDATA\IObit\ASCDownloader C:\ProgramData\IObit\ASCDownloader\Downloader.log Please assist in permanent removal. Thank you forum.txt
