Got an email this morning from Adam from Malwarebytes Support from Malewarebytes Customer Success instead of Malewarebytes Forums asking me to download the same programs I've already downloaded. I don't think it is legitimate. See screenshot below. It also quotes words that I didn't actually write. So ...I'm going to remove my hard drive, hit it with a hammer a few times, go buy a new computer, change all my passwords, and on and on. I'd send some money via PayPal for the effort but I closed that account a few months ago when I was getting two or three phishing scams a week. I think human nature and the internet may ultimately be incompatible ; ) Good luck all.

My problem started when I clicked on Firefox-patch.js. Same problem as in this thread except I opened it:

A window popped up to download an update to Firefox, which I stupidly clicked and suddenly I was infected. I downloaded Malewarebytes and ran it. It found lots of unwanted programs that were quarantined but now I get warnings about blocked outbound data even when browsers are closed. I've attached output from FarBar and some screenshots of the warnings. I just ran malewarebytes again and it didn't find anything this time. Thanks FRST.txt Addition.txt
