How do i block a malicious website?

Hello everyone. Im sorry if this has been brought up before or if it's been opened up many times, but i looked around a bit and i didn't find the answer i was looking for. How exactly do i block a website ? I know how to whitelist one, I add a exclusion to it, but how exactly do i block one ? i know it works because i see them sometimes blocked by the program.
