    Cat2k1: Thanks for the link. After rebooting after installation of new driver, popup screen still said protection was turned off but after I clicked "off" it did change to "on" instead of "starting", so that's a good sign (I hope).

    I have tried this but problem persists. I neglected to mention in my original post that I use Kaspersky Anti-virus (if this makes a difference).

    I suddenly started getting pop-ups telling me that real time protection layers are turned off. When I go to protection settings to turn on real time protection it changes from "off" to "starting" but never changes to "on." When I select "restore defaults" nothing changes either. I have MWB Premium 3.0.6. I have Windows 10, 64-bit and my browser is Chrome. Can anyone help?
