  1. Surely everyone on this site has heard of the old PacMans Portal Site. http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php
  2. Thank You so much exile360 for that advice. I have saved the link to the training site. Never even knew they existed and I have been using computers for 20 years. This Thread/topic can be closed. Thanks, Basscarp..... Mike
  3. Thank You very much for the replys.... I will tell anyone that runs the program to "just quarantine" the issues found first to make sure no system or XP files found were infected. If all of there programs run normally..... then they can delete the unknown ones one by one. Note: Most computer users do not have a backup external hard drive but I will always request that they at least "back up" to thumb drive their personal documents and license codes for their software. Thanks, Mike Note: I am getting a lot of computer training from Matt at Remove-malware.com by watching his videos.
  4. I have run MalWareBytes on my personal computer and a friends infected computer (in safe mode) without any problems..... I wanted to recommend this program to other friends and relatives, but I am unsure if some of the "infected" items it finds could be vital to their operating system. What I want to know is If the found incidences are deleted, is their a risk their operating system might be compromised or not boot up to their desktop. Is MalWareBytes a "run at your on risk program" or can housewives run it and then delete whatever it finds? I do not want to recommend a program that will cause me to look like a nerd instead of a geek.... LOL, Thanks, Mike
