  1. Howdy, my apologies for the late reply. I ended up reinstalling Windows on my laptop. Not just because of this issue but it had been something I’d wanted to do for a while now. After the reinstall I installed Chrome, signed in to my google account, sync’d everything and..... the issue with searching is gone. This leaves me to believe the issue was not something that sync was involved with. Which leaves me disappointed with Malwarebytes. Is that unfair?
  2. Nothing found using ESET. Log attached. If I may, back to the blue button that is labeled "Clear Data". Is that what you had intended I choose? If I do that what data will be wiped out, my bookmarks? ESET.txt
  3. Thank you for your reply. When I get to step 8 in your linked instructions I do not have a 'Reset Sync' option to click. I have a blue button that is labeled "Clear Data". I hesisate to click that as I prefer not to wipe out all of the synced data in my google account. Side note I don't know that it necessarily changes anything, but I think I should mention, the other computer that I used regularly is also has Chrome synced to the same account but does not have the issue with Charmsearch.
  4. Howdy, I've run Sophos home and Malwarebytes but they don't detect the affliction. In Chrome, when I search I am redirected to Bing (from google). Requested logs are attached. thank you in advance 🙂 MWB.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  5. After updating MBAM it detected the same 133 threats but allowed me to remove them. I'll keep an eye on the system and report back here if something still isn't working like I would expect it to. For now though it seems like it's probably OK. Thank you
  6. I just figured out that my version of MBAM is out of date. I am updating and running another scan. I will post results in a few moments.
  7. Thank you for the reply. The odd thing is that there is no scan log since August even though I have run several scans since then, including one just a few minutes ago. Here is what MBAM looks like:
  8. When I run a Malwarebytes scan it identifies over 100 threats but does not quarantine them. So I am a little confused why it does nothing with those "threats". That brings me here. Attached to this topic you will find the output of my Farbar scan. Can someone help me understand if my computer has a malware issue or not. Thank you in advance. Addition.txt FRST.txt
