  1. Hi there, Just got a new Dell with Windows 10. A few days after set up Malwarebytes just found and quarantined the files in the title. PUP.Optinal.WinYahoo / PUP.OptionalConduit Do I need to worry about these?
  2. Hi, I just got this pup as well this morning. A few days ago my scan revealed the pup.optional.driverupdate and thought I had gotten rid of it. Wondering if you could help out. Also, read your link about backing up. I haven't backed up in a while, have an external drive, but from your article you say not to back up if you're currently infected. Any ideas. Should I post my farbar reports? Many thanks
  3. This should be the one....the PUP file has not come up on subsequent scans. scanlog 10.10.txt
  4. Here is the log. I also ran the JRT from Malwares and did a restart and another scan, this time the PUP file did not turn up. Not sure if this is the right log...let me know if I need to export from a different time. Also ran Windows security essentials, full scan and nothing came up. Thanks again for your help Malwarebytes scan 10.10.txt
  5. Just downloaded the Farbar file...sorry, but how do I get it started and run the reports?
  6. This file came up yesterday morning after my nightly scan. I clicked to remove it and restarted. Then, not sure if this was coincidence or not, but the power went out in my computer room and when I restored power, after booting up, I got the blue screen crash dump thing. Was able to do a system restore to a previous point after several tries and my system worked fine all day. Then this morning, the same file was found by Malwarebytes. So, I thought I'd reach out. Not sure if I should remove it again or what steps to take next. I'm not an advanced user, but can follow instructions well. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium on my Dell Inspiron 660S. I'd appreciate any help or suggestions you may have. Many thanks, Richard
