Thanks...So you see nothing in the two TXT files attached that indicate an infection? It is indeed an old IBM laptop (just before they converted over to using only Lenovo brand name), so hardware issue was a concern. When you say Antivirus + Malwarebytes combo, should I not have both? Sorry for what might seem like a silly question...I am a self-taught basic/novice user so I'm learning new things everyday

My laptop has been freezing, very slow, my Theme changes on it's own, the top of a page where File/Edit/View/History/Bookmarks/etc. (Menu Bar) is chopped up, some areas covered in gray, overlapping areas of text/graphics, some tabs missing (X, minimize, maximize). I only use Firefox and have tried running with No Add-Ons, makes no difference. All in all, the laptop is just not performing correctly and acting all kinds of 'wonky'. All of this started about a week ago and I did not make any changes and I have not installed any new programs in the past 6 months...other than upgrading to MWB Premuim last month.
