  1. This seems to have been fixed after reinstalling Chrome, thanks!
  2. No - I remove it successfully by clicking the trash can icon, and the extension doesn't show up anymore. However, I don't know what Chrome actually does when it "removes" an extension - I can imagine that there could still be some metadata somewhere or something. Regardless, I don't think it's the extension, because I get the notifications regardless of if it's removed or not.
  3. I've tried removing it, and it doesn't seem to have had an effect (though by removing I mean just clicking the trash can icon in chrome://extensions, I don't know if there's any left over data)
  4. This is the new fixlog. The problems seem to only be in Chrome. The only extension I've added recently is Session Buddy (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/session-buddy/edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko?hl=en). Fixlog.txt
  5. It's not - personal self-assembled desktop, using student version of Windows 7 64-bit (I think it was an Enterprise edition?)
  6. Actually, the random spam tabs are still showing up occasionally, it seems generally to be triggered by refreshing a page.
  7. For a few days I've had spam tabs randomly opening in chrome (mostly when I click on links) - I installed the trial version of Malwarebytes today, and the new tabs haven't been opening, but instead I've gotten a lot of instances of this - http://imgur.com/cGwTw58 I did some searching on these forums and found this thread - https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/171031-usgspiessummarisingcom-infection/ I followed the instructions Got the protection log (Protection Log.txt)Ran FRST as administrator and clicked Fix (fixlog.txt)Ran JRT as administrator (JRT.txt)I then ran FRST and clicked Scan (from other threads) (FRST.txt and Addition.txt)After those steps, I'm still getting the usg blocked notifications. Any further steps that I should try? Malwarebytes and Webroot scans are coming up clean. Thanks. Addition.txt Fixlog.txt FRST.txt Protection Log.txt JRT.txt
