i was getting pop ups from "com.android.setting.confirm". And the strange thing is i never downloaded that even than it was showing in downloaded apps.

AddOn Detector did really helped me. It gave me the app which was causing this problem. I just disabled that app and now my i do not see any add pop ups in my phone. Thanks for the help.

Hi a_Mbam, i have tried AddOn Detector but it does not show any app with 'Install_Shortcut' permission. Any other way to detect this?

I am facing the same problem. Tried factory reset but it does not help. It really annoys. Please do give correct solution for this
