  1. Yeah for sure there are entries not related to mbam. There are hundres if not thousands of the "access denied" entries. I'm thinking it's time to lay down a new windows installation. It's been a few years.
  2. I tried fixing registery permissions for the access denied events, but it was a never ending list and I don't really think I made much headway. Ill look into eporting the logs... Thanks again
  3. yep still here, just been crazy busy. i'll get back to this soon as i can thanks!
  4. here is a screen of the message i get after trying to manually start the MBAMservice. (it tries to start but imediately fails) might help thanks
  5. thanks. I'd love to get the new version running... what's next?
  6. well i purged trend micro ran mbam clean again reinstalled mbam 2.1.x nada... still wont run in windows normal mode. guess i'll just stick with 2.0.x must be something changed in the new release that my machine just doesn't like, thanks for all the help regardless.
  7. I just wanted to be sure trend micro was not interfering... I've done it in regular mode too though.
  8. Hello--- So ran mbam-clean (from safe mode) rebooted. installed mbam-setup-2.1.4.1018.exe rebboted See attached log files. The install apears to go fine but when I launch mbam it asks for elevated priveleges, then nothing... The MBAMService is stopped and if I start it manually, it attempts to start, but imediately fails and sits in the 'stopped' state. mbam 2.1.x does run in safe mode. the older 2.0.x version does not have these issues. Anyway, any more info I can provide just say! thanks Addition.txt FRST.txt CheckResults.txt
  9. thanks for the link... no dice though... back at 2.0.4 and no probs there.
  10. Hi- I made an account just to post that I also am unable to launch malwarebytes 2.1.4. It asks for elevated privileges then just dissapears. Windows 8.1 pro 64bit. NOthing in running applications or processes. It will run in safe mode though. I rolled back to V 2.0.4 and all is well. thanks for reading...
