other browser didn't work but turned off mcaffee real time scanning and it let it through so I guess Mcaffe was the issue. The adware scan showed nothing but clicked clean anyway. log files attached; created two for some reason, only ran clean once. what about the farbar fix not running to completion? what next? I understand your point on legitimate tool....but I cannot complete the download per my note. It isn't MacAfee that is blocking it....it is saying I don't have administrative privelages to modify the file. When trying to download it is like it is trying to change the file name to add "(1)" to end of it...... tried everyway I can think of with no luck so can't run it without getting around the download issue.

in addition to the issues reported in last post, I cannot successfully download adwarecleaner. Two issues: 1. Mcaffe says dangerous download that contains viruses??? 2. If I try to save it to desktop anyway, window pops up says I need administrator permissions to modify this file and won't complete the download???? Stuck.....

Malwarebytes scan and mcaffe scan show noting but was getting malwarebytes malicisous website block a few days ago that would stop when rebooting/deleting temp internet files.. something still causing constant hang/not responding web pages. farbar files attached from just now...not sure what to do.
