  1. Great! Thanks for your help and an amazing set of products, tools and support!
  2. Thank-you for replying. I ran Kaspersky and included all objects on the system drive. It found two objects, though it says they are not viruses: I did install that TurboTax so I'm not sure what or where the Web.Toolbar is or was. I will have to use TurboTax again in the future, but I don't need the original install files. I'm assuming it's some in-application browser, but that's something I wouldn't normally use. I'm not sure if it's related to this strange behavior, but, upon a reboot, Windows 10 Security at a glace reports that MB has an issue and needs to be opened, but when I go into MB, everything seems just fine. If I wait a few minutes, the error on that window disappears and is replaced with No actions needed.
  3. Strange behavior on my PC. A few days ago, Norton Security said that it had expired, but I know my subscription doesn't expire until the end of the year. I reinstalled it, and that fixed the issue. Today, Malwarebytes Premium all of a sudden lost it's account info and reverted to the Free version, turning off the its Real-Time Protection. I redownloaded MB, installed and used my license info from the MB site and now it's back to Premium, with the Real-Time protections back on. I haven't received any infection notices from either Norton or MB. I ran MBAR and Adwcleaner, JRT and rkill (first) -- There were a few hits and Adwclearner found some legacy items, but didn't look particularly serious (although it took two passes to find and clean everything). Am I infected? Logs attached. Addition.txt FRST.txt JRT.txt Rkill.txt mbar-log-2018-08-27 (21-24-45).txt AdwCleaner[C03].txt AdwCleaner[C02].txt
  4. My Logs tab no longer shows anything - it's always empty. It used to show every program it was protecting. And no, I didn't just press Clear.
  5. Computer was running fine for about an hour. Then, it completely froze. Nothing worked and had to pull the plug to restart.
  6. Okay, done. Registry entries via Revo attached. The games ones seems okay, as I guess some compatability software created it. The Outlook search one isn't familiar to me.
  7. When I try to uninstall one or the other, the system reports that BL shares the same directly as PH and that some files will be left over. Should I proceed anyway?
  8. System still periodically freezes for 4-5 seconds, although much less often. Also, Revo shows two installed hidden applications that are unknown to me: BL and PH. Malware-Anti-Root, Norton and Malwarebytes find nothing. Most recent logs attached. Any ideas? Notes: Uninstalled/Reinstalled Carbonite. Couldn't delete desktop/mbar folder as system reports need permissions from user\james, which is who I'm logged in as. Addition.txt FRST.txt mbar-log-2015-01-04 (08-20-54).txt
  9. Okay - the system's performance seems stable now. No more freezing and the choppiness is gone. Thank-you for your help and donation already sent!
  10. So far, so good. Let me use the machine for the next 24 hours and see. If I experience the 2-4 second freezes or other strange behavior, I'll post here right away. Thank-you for your help!
  11. Hello again. Both tools run. Log files attached. Fixlog.txt ComboFix.txt
  12. Both tools run. Nothing detected. Logs attached. mbar-log-2014-12-26 (09-24-05).txt FRST.txt Addition.txt system-log.txt
  13. I seemed to have picked up something through Flash via Firefox. Malwarebytes reported Trojan.Agent (log attached), \Adobe\gtbcheck.exe I've followed some of the most recent instructions found on this site, but my system continues to be unstable. Here are the steps I've taken so far: 1) I run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware daily. It is up-to-date and it finds no malware. I run it with the required settings selected (Open Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, from the Dashboard please Check for Updates by clicking the Update Now... link When the update completes select > Settings > Detection and Protection > Enable Scan for rootkit and Under Non Malware Protection set both PUP and PUM to Treat detections as malware.) 2) I ran Junkware Removal Tool. It found already Norton Internet Security quarantined items, namely PuP. 3) I downloaded and ran the latest Norton Power Eraser. System rebooted and then ran the scan. No malware found. 4) I downloaded and ran RogueKiller. This is the only scanner that has found anything. It reported AntiRootKit as follows: ¤¤¤ Antirootkit : 1 (Driver: Not loaded [0xc000036b]) ¤¤¤[iAT:Inl] (firefox.exe) xul.dll - NS_Free : C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\mozalloc.dll @ 0x577d130a (jmp dword near [0x56a64a3c]) That brings me to this forum for help. Other notes:I uninstalled Intel Extreme Tuning Utility as RogueKiller hung on it when scanning. Since I dont use it anymore, removed it. Even though uninstalled, it seemed to leave behind IOCBIOS. My system behavior is:- System freezes for 2-4 seconds periodically. - I run out of memory running applications that used to run just fine- Choppy system performance - BSOD on some drivers that haven't changed, namely the windows file driver and ati display driver (which I updated recently to see if that helped, and it did not). Your help would be appreciated. Thanks!FRST.txt Addition.txt JRT.txt RKreport_SCN_12252014_215156.log mbam-log-2014-11-20 (17-39-47).xml
