  2. One of the users on MyCity forums has an interesting issue...

    When he tries to start MBAM using the Desktop shortcut, he gets: Error code: 707 (3).

    The help file is quite clear about that (reinstall the app), but...

    The user can start MBAM by double clicking mbam.exe in C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

  4. Well, I had some trouble with this one...

    After the update was complete, i tried to change the language:

    If I choose any of those wierd looking ones (;)), I get this:

    MBAM closes after that. If I try to run it again, it won't start:

    The only way to start it (in this example) is to remove francais.lng from the languages folder.

    Anyway, it seems the problem was caused by duplicate language files (francais-french, srpski-serbian, ...) that were used by the previous version.

    I uninstalled and then did a clean install - no more duplicate lng files and all working fine now... B)

  6. Smooth update using internal updater. No problems.

    Scan speed seems typical - about 90 objects/sec.

    All functions (remove, ignore, restore...) working fine.

  7. I've found a few malware samples that MBAM detects, did a scan and removed detected files - no trouble there.

    Problem #1: when I use Restore button (quarantine tab), MBAM crashes.

    When I start it again, the item in the quarantine list it crashed on is no longer there, but the file is not restored.

    So, as soon as I click Restore button, I get this:

    If I use Restore All, files are restored to original location without any problems. At least it seems so... That brings us to problem #2.

    Problem #2: After restoring, those files are not detected by MBAM anymore.

    And here's why: they all have one byte removed from the end of the file:

    All this is happening on a couple of days old installation of WinXP Pro SP2 with all other security software disabled.

    If more info is needed, just tell me what to do...
