  1. I'm thinking the same. I'll salvage what files I can first. Thanks very much for trying!
  2. I see what you did there! FRST.txt reports the D: drive as C: drive (I presume you meant scan). FRST.txt
  3. No change. When in the recovery console, the C: partition is reported as "System Reserved" and the dir command reports that the partition is empty. All the expected directories are listed on the D: partition.
  4. Done. No change. Note: this was run from the recovery console. Fixlog.txt
  5. Done. Black screen again, but no mouse pointer this time. Same for safe mode. Fixlog.txt
  6. Don't know - the computer belongs to my son's girlfriend. I presume it's been at least a week.
  7. Gday, As above, Windows 7 Home Premium black screen. Tried to start in safe mode (command prompt), but this also starts in a blank black screen. I've attached the frst.txt I got a short while ago in recovery console. I was unable to find addition.txt. I am aware the laptop has uTorrent.exe on it, and this will be removed as soon as I can get into safe mode. Please help me get to a stage where I can load and run MBAM! Regards and TIA, Pat FRST.txt
  8. By the way, the torrent stuff will be removed as soon as I can get into the machine.
