  1. Ran mbam a few times and I believe Cryptowall was removed.  However, issues remain.

     

    However, Windows XP continues to open ransom note

    Also have dll file issues.

     

    Microsoft Security Essentials will not run.  System is slow.

    Since many files are corrupted by Cryptowall, my view is purchase a non infected computer then use Malwarebytes Secure Backup to salvage any files on infected puter.  Transfer salvaged files to new puter.  Completely wipe hard drive of infected puter.  Purchase Windows 7 and install on wiped hard drive, down load files from Malwarebytes Secure Backup on to wiped drive.

     

    Is this plan tenable or would I be better off attempting to attack vestiges of Cryptowall on drive now?

    Will install Windows 7.  Better now or after removal of Cryptowall vestiges?
