Malwarebytes using ~400mb RAM of 4gb

there appear to be 3 instances of malwarebytes anti-malware 32 bit running. one is using ~400mb of RAM another is using ~30mb. another ~15. -
My computer has been sluggish and I have been trying to figure out why. I realized that malwarebytes is consistently using 200+ mb of RAM and now it is at 425mb. Is this normal? What to do from here? Thanks for the guidance.. much appreciated!
