I'm also very disappointed in this new version. Since I had done the upgrade on my Windows 8.1 64-bit laptop, I got randomly BAD_POOL_HEADER errors (with an automatic reboot of my PC); the only "good" thing I could do, to avoid these problems: uninstalled the MBAM software, with a complete clean-up of every residing trace on the laptop... or how a good product (version 1.75..) becomes a nightmare !
