Wait, so the file is an actual threat and you added it to your allow list?

An alleged threat, but is in fact not a threat, but rather a file necessary for the proper function of iTunes that was quarantined by Malwarebytes.

  2. No its legit, i added it to the allow list but the damage is done as a result of uninstalling thousands of files lost.

    Greetings,

It sounds like a false positive.  Please post a copy of the report from Malwarebytes showing the detection and we'll be able to help.  To do so, open Malwarebytes and click the Detection History card on the main page of the UI, then select the History tab and hover your mouse over one of the entries showing that the file was detected and click on the small icon that looks like an eye, then in the report that pops up click on Export on the lower left and select Copy to clipboard and then paste the info into your next reply or you may export it as a text file and attach it to your reply.

    Thanks

  4. I have Malwarebytes premium  and all of a sudden it is blocking a dll file, preventing me from running iTunes on my PC GNSDK.DSP.DLL is the file. How can i set Malwarebytes to allow this file and not quarantine it. This file is necessary in order for iTuneS to run. I need iTunes badly. Thank you!

Mb also uses caching so it does not have to scan each "file" every time if there has not been a change. It all equals fast scans.

You are welcome to tend that computer to me and I can send you one of my slow ones.;):o

No thanks, lol but it's hanging up on every scan it never did that before, do i need to create another thread for this?

Fix was finished Saturday afternoon my time.

The databases and scanning speed get optimized all the time.

What processor, how much ram and do you have a SSD?

    Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core...only 16gigs of ram, yes ssd

  7. It was the first time i ran it where it indicated 55 threats, i rebooted then ran it two more times (I know i didn't fully follow your instructions) ...i went to the log manager of AdwCleaner and sent everything from the "scan" and "cleaning" tabs, that's all that was there. Anyway all seems good now Yoan, thank you very much for your time, patience, and assistance :-)
