Ok the FBI thing didn't come up again. I think it worked

... the thing came up when i logged in so I decided to shut down my computer by pressing power key once. Then, my normal desktop came up like it usually does when you shutdown and it went to the closing background programs thing (with force shut down and cancel) to which i pressed "cancel". I then got on the internet and downloaded malwarebytes and am running a scan with malwarebytes.. without rebooting, it never prompted me to reboot. Will this remove the virus?
