  1. Thank you. This shouldn't be a problem. However, I have a question: Should I restore the protection module to run at windows and then go through the long wait to get to the desktop before generating the logs? The machine does not have a anti-virus just malwarebytes. It's just a fresh install with some standard software reloaded on it, MsOffice, 7zip, adobe reader, notepad++, etc. I'll go through the official support if needed after we give it a shot but I felt like I could get some good things to try here and I felt like the community should be aware.
  2. Yes, I disabled the "Start Protection module with Windows" and it's all good. Is there a way to have this enabled but not screw up windows login time?
  3. Obviously, slow desktop load is common with infected computers. This computer had zero infections before I did a fresh install of windows XP. I did a complete format and install. I reinstalled all the drivers and several programs. The computer boots to the desktop just fine. I lastly installed malwarebytes 1.75 and completely updated it. Now, when I login the desktop takes several minutes to display the icons and taskbar. The background is visible. I uninstalled malwarebytes and it fixed. On the next login the desktop instantly pulls up. I reinstalled malwarebytes and again the desktop load time slows to a crawl. This is a registered version of Pro and I am thinking it has to do with enabling protection mode at startup. I am disabling this but I would like malware protection on startup but not at having a 5+ minute login time. There are several posts with this but the author mainly seemed to stem from an infection. Do not post telling me to run a scan or anything that implies that the computer has an infection as this is clearly something wrong with the installation of malewarebytes. Is there a registry fix or services configuration that could help the desktop load time but keep it where malwarebytes can run at startup?
