Hi, I ran into the same problem that tholland did. I followed the instructions and got the following: - could not turn on the System Restore service - same error as tholland got. - dial-a-fix reported some restrictive policies. I removed them. Rebooted. - still could not turn on the service - same error. - reinstalled System Restore software via "rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %Windir%\Inf\sr.inf". No error. Rebooted. - still could not turn on the service - same error. The difference from tholland's case is that he ran into problems reinstalling the software and then got those fixed. In my case, I did not run into problems but still could not get it to work. Appreciate if you could help me out, too!
