Thank you for the reply. I tried running Mbamclean, and then reinstalling the program, and I still get the same results. I then ran the DDS and here are my results. Forgive me if this question has come up before. I tried searching through the forums, and couldn't find this same issue posted by anybody. i have the paid version of Malwarebytes. When I try to update to Malwarebytes 1.60, the program downloads, and then I get an error message that says: Internal Error: Failed to expand shell folder constant "userappdata" Then it rolls back the changes, and tells me to correct the problem and try the update again. I've tried to look, and I can't even find a folder entitled userappdata. I'm running a 32 bit version of Vista, and I use ESET Nodvirus as my antivirus software. I don't know if that is causing a conflict. My current version of Malwarebytes continues to update, and I've run full system scans and have not found any malware. I tried booting the computer into Safemode with networking, and it gave me the same update error for Malwarebytes. Fortunately, I have a new computer coming next week, so if the problem is related to this specific computer, it won't bother me too much since this one will be a backup machine. But I would like to get this issue fixed, so that I know that any data I transfer to my new computer is safe from any infections. I apologize for any stupidity in the above post, but I am not very computer literate. Thank you in advance for any help. Rick
