  1. I am unable to run MBAM at all. When I tried to download / reinstall it, I get the following message. "Unable to execute file mbam.exe CreateProcess failed; code 2 The system cannot find the file specified." The desktop icon resembles an open file folder. I'm getting huge amounts of popups. AntiVir is reporting all kinds of infections. Only able to run SuperAntiSpyware which is returning Vundo along with other problems. Any help is appreciated. After running SAS I got RUNDLL error "Error loading litinika.dll" After looking that up I guess it's a good thing. I am still unable to run the setup file and MBAM will not install.
  2. Uninstalled and reinstalled MBAM. Works fine now. Can get to the site.
  3. Uninstalled MBAM. I am now able to access www.gymjam.com no problem. GoDaddy has checked the site and found nothing wrong. I've checked the site stats and nothing is unusual. Why would MBAM be blocking the site? False positive?
  4. I just tried again, and the IP blocked was 72.167.232.235 which is a godaddy server... I assume it's the one www.gymjam.com is hosted on. Why is it blocking IP's when ip protection isn't enabled? It is not checked and I cannot check it.
  5. I'm trying to get on www.gymjam.com. I can get to it from other machines in my home. When I try, MBAM blocks me claiming an infection detected at IP 192.168.1.3 ... which is MY local IP. I daily scans with MBAM, weekly with AntiVir and I have Superantispyware installed When right clicking on MBAM IP Protection is NOT checked. In fact, I cannot check it. When I turn off MBAM I still cannot get to the site. I have tried IE, FF and just downloaded and tried Opera with no success. I am not having any problems with any other sites. Anyone have any ideas? If I try to ping www.gymjam.com I get host unreachable and MBAM blocks the IP. I have not tried pinging www.gymjam.com yet w/ MBAM turned off b/c I'm running a full scan with MBAM now.
  6. Ok. I figured it out on my own. Me, a PC idiot. I bot MBAM and was following Tom's instructions. First the logs. Then the HJT logs. Then he had me run and install combofix. That's when I got to the point that I posted about here. How did I do it? I went into the recovery console that combo fix has you install before it starts its processes. renamed software.bak to software (after renaming software to software.hld) basically replacing the corrupt software file with the .bak version (turns out combo fix creates a backup of software incase something like this happens). once I did this I was able to reboot back to where I was. Downloaded, installed and ran superantispyware. It found a TON of trojans and othersuch crud. booted into safe mod, running Superantispyware now in safe mode. Found 4 more files that way. I bought MBAM and the guy was helping me through the process, but when my system went down so did the response time. I'm normally the lucky one that gets the stuff no one knows how to deal with. Hopefully this blurb will help someone else in the future since it stumped this community.
  7. I'm currently working with someone from MB but hoped for some advice. After sending some logs and running hijack this, I was told to install and run combo fix. After running combo fix I got the following error on reboot. <snip> Stop:c0000218 {registry File Failure} The registry cannot load the hive (file): \systemroot\system32\config\SOFTWARE or its log or alternate It is corrupt, absent, or not writable Beginning dump of physical memory Physical memory dump complete Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance. <endsnip> it would not fully load XP in safe mode OR in the last known configuration (it always went back to the above error). With some help I was able to go into the MSFT Recovery Console, copy "software" from the repair directory and write it overtop of the "software" file in the config file (after making a software.bak). The PC boots up fully now but I get dll errors. Access to all my software is gone. Is it game over and I need to begin reinstalling all my software? If I do that, will it overwrite my data files (office docs and, more critically, my outlook email contents). Any advice help is appreciated.
