atapi.sys

Recommended Posts

After reading through yours and other forums.

I found a lot of stuff on redirection with many different causes

I found stuff on false positives for atapi.sys.

I found a problem with no hard drives showing in device manager or disk manager.

Randomly an svchost would popup and lock up my system.

No spyware or antivirus programs showed any problems.

After two days, I decided wht the heck and replaced by atapi.sys with one from a good machine. Guess what it fixed the problem.

can't attach the bad file Norton says its infected with backdoor.tidser. Go figure.
