  1. Yeah, I would agree with the above poster here about the GUI. It does need a bit of an update. While I doubt that is going to happen for this version (obviously), have a look at what Avast has done with their latest version. Very nice indeed.

I wouldn't mind seeing some blue in there or even a lot of blue, like the logo in the forum here. Like it a lot and the blue would be nice within the interface. As opposed to the standard windows background, it would be nice to see some of that blue and perhaps black in the interface. The overall feel and operation of how the tabbed interface is fine, just give it some color, some progress and some animation with some updated and colorful icons and the next version would POP.

  2. Pros

Really like the ability to schedule updates. Very nice.

Also like some of the added features as in disabling Website Blocking (IP Blocking).

Like the fact we have gone from 40MB of RAM while running to 19MB. Very nice.

    Cons

Still would like to see some animation and or progress while scanning. It might take a little time to determine what needs to be scanned to give us a progress, but a progress bar would be very welcome.

Also would say an option is needed on the system tray icon to open the interface. Yes, one can double click the icon to open the program, but a menu option would be nice as well.

    More to come I'm sure....

  3. We'll have a beta out shortly. The initial beta was only available to Honorary Members and higher. The beta we are going to send out today will be available to anyone that has signed up. We asked that users be advanced users as it is a beta product and not as stable as a release.

Thanks. Much appreciated for the update.

  4. I think the purpose of this thread is exactly to give a chance to us to beta test this, we just need to be a bit patient.

Sure, but did you read above? If that is wrong, then great, would like an Admin to say so and let us know if we will be included in the beta testing or not.

  5. Apparently the definition of "Advanced User" has thus been answered. The pertinance of a user's statements and thus the wisdom of said user is directly related to the amount of times he has said something/hit the "post" button.

Is this serious? I've tested an awful lot of software and currently own a license to MBAM. Was really hoping to get into the beta testing here and will be very disappointed if not. I have not received an email yet, so I am assuming I'm not going to.

It's unfortunate that those of us who really want to beta test and take the time to work with security software, would not be included just because our post count isn't high enough here.
